As you embrace a more natural pace of life, you can take leisurely walks, stop by fantastic local pubs for lunch or dinner, or take a short drive to Horsham, which has a variety of restaurants and cafes.
Inside the hut, enjoy the view of the paddocks from the window at the foot of your super king-size bed. There’s a hot shower, a small kitchen equipped with tea and a fresh coffee machine for those tranquil mornings, and all the offline essentials needed for a three-night stay away from technology. Lock your phone away and replace it with an instant camera, board games, a selection of books, and a map and compass to help you explore the local area.

Had a lovely stay at Ellasfield. Beautiful peaceful countryside setting, welcoming host and comfortable shepherd’s hut. We really enjoyed seeing the animals, particularly winkle the pig. The hot tub and stone baked pizza was a really enjoyable experience. We were fortunate enough to be able to bring our little dog along and he also had such a lovely time. The breakfast was delicious and little touches added by the host greatly appreciated. We will definitely return and recommend to family and friends!

Cosy retreat in the heart of the countryside. Ellasfield is near the lovely south downs, so great for cycling and walking - we used the 'Alltrails app' to find local footpaths.
We loved the quirkiness and accessibility of the shepherds hut, complete with: hot tub, pizza oven, private decking area overlooking horses and the friendliest pig - Winkle!
Would 100% recommend getting the additional breakfasts and pizza which were delicious and filling.
And a special thank you to Kim, for all the additional, thoughtful treats which we were not expecting!
Perfect stay in Ellasfield, couldn't fault anything, exactly what we were hoping for and more :)

The shepherds hut itself was great. There was a lot of space and a lot of thought went into the decor and usability. The bed was very comfortable and had a slept fantastically!
The location was perfect. It was peaceful and quiet. You was surrounded by nature and the views was great. They own various different animals such as pigs and horses which surround the outside of the property.
We done the pizza package and it was great fun making them and cooking them in the pizza oven. The hot tub was really spacious.
From before arrive and all the way through the stay the communication with the hosts was great and they went out of there way to make sure it was extra special.
We’ll be going back and can’t recommend this enough.
