They are beautiful companions with many magical qualities.
Spiritual Guides: Cats move between realms, sensing spiritual disturbances and even guiding us when they feel we need it. Here, we introduce Leo. He found his way to us and slept outside our back door for four nights straight. Eventually, we let him in, and he gently joined our pride of cats, bringing a gentle yet strong sense of purpose and knowing — as if he was sent to guide us back to our hearts after losing four cats in the space of 18 months.
Energy Cleansing: Their strong presence helps us clear away negative energy. Our beloved Deva always enters the ‘Pixie’ Yurt (named after our old beloved cat - she was the Queen of healing!) before I conduct a womb healing. She shares her opinion on where an energetic block needs clearing by lying on the particular chakra colour linked to the affected body part.
Emotional Support: Beyond their mystical sides, cats naturally offer comfort—snuggling on our chests and purring softly, which helps us relax and feel calmer. Our newest companion, ET Bear who is only 17 weeks old, already demonstrates so much heart in his tiny body. He stays close to us and offers his purr as a tool for healing and spreading love.
Then there is Socks, our tuxedo cat who came to us from another Shamanic household but needed to find another loving home. He is a wise, yet sensitive soul and sleeps a lot with my daughter Bear. His purr brought a message - did you know that a cat’s purr vibrates at 25-150 Hz, a frequency known to promote bone density, tissue repair, and a reduction in pain, along with their communication of love and trust. Through his companionship and presence, Socks has been a part in guiding Bear to embark on three years of Shamanic Practices training this spring.
Let's remember not to underestimate what we can’t see or put neatly into a box. Instead, let’s embrace curiosity and openness about what cant be seen. Trust that all beings we encounter, whether human or furry are guiding us back to ourselves, our soul's purposes, and our sense of wholeness - I would suggest that nothing is by coincidence!
